With transitioning to our winter gardens, we’ve been making homemade seed storage packets to store our plants that have gone to seed. We’re busy in the garden these days, preparing for major projects this upcoming year as we recently celebrated 6 months on our homestead.
I wanted to share with you this easy homemade seed packet template I found that has been a quick way to organize and store seed efficiently. It is ideal to store seed in paper (or better yet glass containers!) – I’ve been using paper bags for these packets from the grocery store, since we had an influx of them during the early days of the COVID pandemic when we could not use reusable bags for a period of time.
The template is also easy enough to print, cut out, and fold as well. Below is the video instructions that come with the template. Don’t forget to write what seed you are storing and enjoy the smiles when you see your well organized seeds to pull from in spring.
