Indeed, it can be daunting mid-summer to already be thinking about what seeds to plant for a fall garden when summer harvests are just starting to be in full swing! Over time, I have found a system that has worked to help streamline this process that I share below.
After listing the seeds I wish to plant, I note their days until germination as well as days until harvests. That way, I can always reference back as needed. I make sure to plant seeds that germinate at the same rate in the same tray to avoid having some germinate while others will need more time indoors. If I’m feeling extra, I also post a picture and date with the germination details.
My absolute favorite seed company to purchase most of these seeds comes from High Mowing Organic Seeds.
